Day 1Queenstown Airport – Queenstown City (D)

  • Collect your vehicle hire and make your way to Queenstown City Center
  • Evening Dinner cruise on TSS Earnslaw to Walter Peak High Country Farm. It’s New Zealand’s most iconic boat and one of Queenstown’s most historic destinations. For a dining experience like no other, cruise across Lake Wakatipu on the iconic TSS Earnslaw and discover Queenstown’s incomparable fine dining destination
  • Overnight at Heritage Queenstown, Deluxe Room

Day 2Queenstown City – Manapouri/Doubtful Sound (B,D)

  • From Queenstown make your way to Te Anau/Manapouri for your cruise on Doubtful Sound.
  • Doubtful Sound Overnight cruise onboard Fiordland Navigator, twin/double with ensuite cabins

Your Doubtful Sound cruise adventure begins with a short cruise across island-studded Lake Manapouri and a coach trip over Wilmot Pass. You will then descend to Doubtful Sound to meet the crew of the Fiordland Navigator awaiting you in Deep Cove. The Fiordland Navigator is designed along the lines of a traditional sailing vessel, combining the charm of a bygone era with all modern comforts including spacious viewing decks, a dining saloon/fully licensed bar and an observation lounge. During the afternoon, you will cruise the full length of the fiord, weaving through hidden coves and waterways. Bottlenose dolphins are often encountered, fur seals bask on the rocks and, at times, rare penguins can be seen. As evening draws near, the crew will drop anchor in a sheltered cove, allowing you to explore the shoreline by kayak or tender craft (small boat) with a nature guide. For the more adventurous, there’s even a chance to go swimming. In the evening, enjoy a delicious meal prepared by the onboard chef and relax in the saloon before retiring to your cosy bed

Day 3Manapouri/Doubtful Sound – Te Anau (B)

  • Doubtful Sound – The Ship awakes, and after breakfast you have a leisurely cruise back towards Deep Cove and from there end the journey with a trip back across the Wilmot Pass and Lake Manapouri. – End of the cruise at approximately 12:30pm
  • Afternoon Glowworm Cave tour
  • Overnight at Blue Ridge B&B, Te Anau

Day 4Te Anau (B,D)

  • Morning Fiordland Jet Pure Wilderness Tour – Enjoy the thrill of jet boating down the majestic trout-filled Waiau River, to serene Lake Manapouri. Step foot into the ancient forests of Fiordland National Park for a short walk while learning about the ancient beech forest and native fauna & flora.
  • Afternoon Cruise on Lake Te Anau There’s good reason that Fiordland is recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Area. Aboard Faith you sail across the deep waters of Lake Te Anau, between untouched mountains, and into South Fiord. A short, guided walk reveals to you the mystique of Hidden Lakes.
  • Overnight at Blue Ridge B&B, Te Anau

 

Day 5Milford Sound – Queenstown Airport (B)

  • Spend the day exploring Te Anau and make your way to Milford Sound. Head north on SH94 towards Milford Sound, check in for your Milford Sound overnight cruise is 4pm so you will have ample time to stop and take in the spectacular scenery that Fiordland National Park has to offer.  Drive duration approx. 1.5hrs

    INCLUDED: MILFORD SOUND OVERNIGHT CRUISE ONBOARD MARINER BOAT

    An overnight cruise is the ultimate way to experience Milford Sound. Onboard the Milford Mariner, it is the perfect opportunity to soak up the atmosphere and get a sense of the serenity that the fiord offers.

    After boarding the Milford Mariner, guests enjoy a full length cruise of the fiord out to the Tasman Sea. The flexible nature of the cruise means there is ample time to look out for wildlife such as seals, penguins and dolphins. The Nature Guide ensures an immersive experience as guests learn all about the history and natural environment of the fiord. Activities are included, which means that guests can choose a paddle in a kayak, or hop on board a tender craft to explore the fiord up close. The boat will anchor in the shelter of Harrison Cove overnight.

Day 6Milford Sound - Te Anau - Queenstown Airport

  • 9.30am return to Milford Sound wharf and disembark.  End of the cruise.

  • Return to Te Anau then drive to Lumsden on SH94 and SH6 to Queenstown. Drop off your car at the airport by 4.30pm

  • Final payment: Due 35 days prior to departure

Covid 19 policy

Where cancellation is due to NZ Government restriction on travel because of Covid-19 outbreaks either nationally or regionally, the following cancellation policy applies: 

If Covid-19 is present within the NZ community, and NZ Government travel restrictions result in the guest being unable to travel, the booking will be postponed and rescheduled where possible. Refunds are subject to approval from the suppliers with a handling fee of $50 per person for the booking.  NB: Covid-19 policy does not apply for voluntary cancellations by individuals.
